Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Double the Sun’
If you are looking to add bright pops of color to your fall garden, Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Double the Sun’ is a perfect choice. The bright and sunny, golden-yellow blooms are semi-double and stretch 2.5” across. They stand tall above its deep green foliage and sway in the breezes, enticing Bees, Birds and Butterflies to pay them a visit. An added bonus, this plant is both Rabbit and Deer resistant.
Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Double the Sun’ grows 12-14” tall x 12-14” wide, and thrives in full sun along the coast. In areas of intense summer heat, provide afternoon shade. This low maintenance perennial has a long bloom cycle, beginning in spring and carrying on through till late fall. Deadheading of faded blooms encourages re-bloom. These bright and breezy plants are stunning when mass planted and are equally beautiful tucked into mixed containers and window boxes.
The Sunset Climate Zones for Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Double the Sun’ are 2-24; H1, H2. We are currently growing ‘Double the Sun’ in 4.5” flats.
