Echeveria ‘Blue Atoll’
Echeveria ‘Blue Atoll’
With today’s busy lifestyles, we can all appreciate plants that are beautiful, easy to grow and require minimal maintenance. Echeveria ‘Blue Atoll’ is one such plant. This tender succulent grows 4-6 inches tall and can spread up to 10 inches across. The powdery blue-green rosettes look similar to Lotus flowers, with slightly cupped leaves that come to a point on the tips. The cool colors of this lovely succulent add a sense of calm and well-being to any area it calls home. It is easily adaptable as a house plant as long as it is placed in a bright room, and planted in a container that has porous, well-drained soil. It requires occasional water; allow soil to dry before watering again.
This plant is perfect for those who want to add greenery to their home but have limited space. The perfectly shaped rosettes add an artistic element to interior designs, and are an elegant focal point when planted in mixed succulent arrangements. When planted outdoors, in rock gardens they take center stage in spring when they bloom bell-shaped, yellow-orange flowers. ‘Blue Atoll’ requires bright light but can get sunburned if exposed to harsh, full sun, so plant in partial shade in hot summer regions. In addition, protect from frost in cold winter regions. The Sunset Western Climate Zones are 8, 9, 12-24.
We are currently growing Echeveria ‘Blue Atoll’ in 4.5”, 5.5” and 6” containers. Follow us on Instagram @clearwatercolornursery and on Facebook to keep up to date on the happenings around the nursery.
