Salvia argentea ‘Artemis’ (Silver Sage)

If you are looking for a plant that will be a focal point in your garden, you’ve got to pick up this beauty! Salvia argentea ‘Artemis’ is visually stunning with its silvery-white, wavy leaves that are covered in soft & fuzzy, silk-like hairs. It forms a beautiful rosette that grows 1-2 feet tall and 2-3 feet across. 3 foot tall, many-branched flower spikes appear in the 2nd year and are topped with hooded white flowers, tinged with a very light pink. If allowed, the flowers will reseed in the garden and sprout the following spring.

Silver Sage is drought tolerant and very easy to grow. It is deer tolerant, however it will need protection from slugs and snails. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. This is a great choice for the front of flower beds, along borders and in containers. The Sunset Climate Zones are 1-24, with a cold hardiness of -20°F.
