Anigozanthus ‘Bush Pearl’, ‘Cape Aurora’ & ‘Cape Red Lead’ (Dwarf Kangaroo Paw)
Anigozanthus ‘Bush Pearl’, ‘Cape Aurora’ & ‘Cape Red Lead’ (Dwarf Kangaroo Paw)
These beautiful evergreen perennials from Australia will add a touch of elegance to your landscape with their exotic flowers that come in a variety of colors. The dwarf varieties of Anigozanthus have narrow, strappy green foliage that grows 12-18 inches tall, with branching wooly stems that grow 18-24 inches tall.

They bloom from late winter to fall with fuzzy flowers that flare open at the tips and look very similar to the paws of a kangaroo. Their small stature is the perfect size for containers or mixed flower beds. The Sunset Western Garden Book Climate Zones for Anigozanthus are 14-24 and they are hardy to about 25°F. If they do get knocked down by the frost, they will typically re-sprout when the weather begins to warm.

We are growing Anigozanthus ‘Bush Pearl’ (dark pink), ‘Cape Aurora’ (bright mustard –yellow), and ‘Lead Red’ (reddish-orange) as part of our 1 gallon Premium Perennial line up. “Like” us on Facebook to see photos of these and many more plants that we are growing.
